How much will my course cost?
Your course tuition fees depend on the type of student you are, the course you study, and the year you commence. Our fees estimator tool can help give you a better idea of how much your studies could cost, but this should just be used as a guide – tuition fees can change from year to year.
If your application to study at Deakin is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer that includes an indicative total tuition fee for your chosen degree.
Your upfront fee payment
You will need to make an upfront fee payment to Deakin to accept your offer, as per your Letter of Offer, before you enrol. Once you have made this payment we will issue you with your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). You can then apply for your student visa. It is important to pay your fees as soon as possible.
Your upfront fee payment will be based on full-time enrolment. The actual fees you will be charged may differ once you select your units.
Estimate your tuition fees
Deakin's international tuition fees vary depending on the course and units you undertake, as well as your level of study. Our fee estimator tool can help give you a better idea of how much your studies could cost.
Refunds
We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of study – that is why we may be able to offer you a partial or full refund of your course fees if you need to withdraw from a unit.
Find a scholarship
We are proud to support international students with a range of scholarship opportunities. Use our Find a scholarship tool to discover which opportunities you might be eligible for.
How to pay your fees

Deakin payment portal
If you select this option, you will be transferred to Deakin’s payment portal. You will have a choice to pay via credit card, FlyWire or PayPal. It will automatically list your full deposit amount – you will not be able to pay in multiple instalments through the portal.
Other payment options
You can also pay your deposit in part or in full through:
- FlyWire
- Convera GlobalPay
- Financial guarantee (for sponsored students)
Depending on the method you use to pay your fees, you may need to upload proof of payment in the Studylink Application Portal, so that our admissions staff can review and progress your acceptance.
